Featured Speaker(s): Shana Head, GEODIS, and Eric Dalby, Descartes, will highlight key resources and best practices. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

Shana Head, GEODIS, is the Senior Director of FTZ Product Services for GEODIS USA, LLC.

Shana started her foreign-trade zones (FTZ) career in 2005 with Crate and Barrel, an international furniture and home décor retail company. During her tenure at Crate and Barrel, Shana played a pivotal role in pioneering the FTZ program for the company and assisted in starting up their three regional distribution centers as FTZs. From there, Shana took a promotional opportunity to become the FTZ Manager for a global healthcare company, Abbott Laboratories, in Chicago, where she acted in the capacity of the corporate FTZ subject matter expert, designed FTZ policies and procedures, and aided in process improvements for the internal FTZ audit program. Before joining GEODIS as the Senior Director of FTZ Product, Shana led the FTZ Managed Services practice at a boutique, FTZ consulting firm, Indigo Trade Solutions, managing the day to day operations, providing compliance guidance, and assisting in project management for new zone activities.

Shana is an active member of the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones (NAFTZ) and holds the designation of Accredited Zone Specialist (AZS). She has been a member of the NAFTZ Operator/User Committee since 2007 and currently serves as Committee Chair. She also serves on the NAFTZ In-Bond task force, ACE Automation Committee, the Program Committee and the FWS Working Group.


Eric Dalbydirects the FTZ Implementations at Descartes. He has nearly 20 years’ experience in the global trade arena with a special emphasis on technology and compliance.

DISCOUNTS: Join NAFTZ in order to qualify for membership discounts.

All individuals must have an NAFTZ membership to receive the NAFTZ member rate, if a substitute is requested, the substitute must have a current NAFTZ membership in order to make such a transfer. If the requested transfer is for a non-member, one would have the option to add an additional membership in order to receive the member rate or pay difference between the paid member and invoiced non-member rate.
