 SPEAKER BIOS

Yuko Hampton, Trade Compliance and Logistics Manager, Licensed Customs Broker at SUMCO Phoenix Corporation since 2000. Current responsibilities include import/export compliance, international logistics and third party warehouse contract management, supplier audit as a certified lead auditor for suppliers on IATF16949:2016. Past responsibilities include FTZ management, CTPAT and CCSF (TSA’s shipper screening program). Yuko was born and raised in Japan, and moved to the United States at 20 years old.
Jason Ricketts is the Senior Manager of Customs & Trade Compliance at Nissan North America Inc., where he leads the Company’s North American Trade Compliance Program for the US and Canada.
Jason is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker with over 25 years of varied experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding and trade compliance. His career began in the freight forwarding business with Nissin International Transport and he has held leadership positions in other companies throughout his career such as, FedEx Trade Networks, BAX Global, Kuehne + Nagel Inc. and most recently at Nissan North America Inc.
He currently serves as the Chairperson for the Manufacturing Working Group of the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones (NAFTZ). Jason is also a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) through the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA).
Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Aviation Management from the Ohio State University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Kaplan University.
