This session will cover the latest developments and opportunities. This includes:
Featured Speaker(s): Leigh Ryan, WTC Savannah, Julie Brown, Georgia FTZ & Danielle Converse, Port of Corpus Christi, will highlight key steps to compliance and best practices. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

Leigh Ryan, Vice President, World Trade Center, has taken World Trade Center Savannah full steam ahead, managing trade services and kicking off the organization's college internship program. As vice president, she works with World Trade Center Savannah partners to assist in the development and success of the international strategies of their companies or of their clients. This covers importing and exporting, customs research, expanding markets, identifying buyers, sellers and distributers as well as international connections and business match making. Ryan is also responsible for Foreign-Trade Zone 104, working with established foreign trade zone site and sub-zone operators as well as promoting the benefits for FTZ to the region. She has been instrumental in developing the tools needed to communicate the mission and benefits of the organization to the region and the world.
Danielle Converse is the Foreign Trade Zone Manager at the Port of Corpus Christi, FTZ 122. Danielle has served as the Foreign Trade Zone Manager for the Port of Corpus Christi since 2019. She graduated from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Science, and has more than 20 years’ experience with federal, state, and local regulations. Danielle has been an active member of NAFTZ since joining in 2019, serving on the Grantee Committee, the Social Media Taskforce, and is currently Chair of the Sponsorship Taskforce. While her time in the FTZ industry is short, Danielle’s excellent working relationships with operators and local U.S. Customs officials have ensured the successful implementation and continuation of the Foreign-Trade Zone program in the Corpus Christi region.
Mary Rooney is the Vice President of the Greater Kansas City Foreign Trade Zone, regional grantee of the national FTZ program. Mary has over 20 years of experience in the supply chain and logistics industry.
Prior to GKCFTZ, Mary held various positions at MIQ Logistics, a global supply chain and logistics company. Most recently, as the Director of Marketing & Business Development, Mary led global marketing efforts for the company including branding and communications, service development, digital marketing, and business development strategy.
Mary earned a bachelor of science in business administration from Oklahoma State University and a master of business administration from the University of Kansas. Mary is past president of the Kansas City Heartland CSCMP Roundtable. Additionally, she and her husband own and operate BKS Artisan Ales, a small craft brewery in Kansas City, MO.

All individuals must have an NAFTZ membership to receive the NAFTZ member rate, if a substitute is requested, the substitute must have a current NAFTZ membership in order to make such a transfer. If the requested transfer is for a non-member, one would have the option to add an additional membership in order to receive the member rate or pay difference between the paid member and invoiced non-member rate.
